The title of this article contains the character ä. Where it is unavailable or not desired, the name may be represented as Italiaenische Fechtkunst (MS Dresd.C.91).
Italiänische Fechtkunst, 400 Regeln ("Italian Fencing in 400 Lessons"; MS Dresden C.91) is a 17th century German fencing manual created by Johann Christian.[citation needed] The original currently rests in the holdings of the Sächsische Landesbibliothek in Dresden, Germany. As the title suggests, this manuscript treats the use of the rapier after the Italian fashion.
