Traite des armes ("Treatise on Weapons", MS E.1939.65.359) is a Spanish fencing manual created by Pedro de Heredia in the early 1600s.[citation needed] The original currently rests in the R. L. Scott Collection of the Glasgow Museums in Glasgow, United Kingdom. Heredia's work is written in French and seems to describe a style combining elements of the Iberian esgrima antigua and the Bolognese fencing of Girolamo Cavalcabo. This is one of three manuscripts of Heredia's work, the other two being the MS E.1939.65.360 and the X.911.
