I am a new student to fencing, and I'm doing this because no other sport really interests me. I am very passionate about it; don't get me wrong. People don't really promote fencing in the United States where I am at as much as they do Football or Basketball. I guess people look at fencing uneasily is because it involves weapons, and weapons have a bad reputation here apparently!
