Nicola Linza is a designer, interior decorator, and historic environment consultant with a focus on early to mid-century modern residences of America and France, the traditional manor houses of England, Wales and Northern Ireland with an appreciation for le chic d’une maison délabré of the English Country House, the refined London Townhouse, the French châteaux of the seventeenth century through the Belle Époque and the early French Arts Décoratifs residences of Paris in the region of the 1920s and 1930s. In his decoration of residential spaces there is a breathable, timeless, visually weightless quality, which Linza executes with an extreme precision of order, harmony and beauty, where the past and present straddle the complex pre-1880 historical norms and modern precedents of The Staatliches Bauhaus and French Arts Décoratifs of L’Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes – 1925 Paris.
Trained as an architect, working during college at the Office of Charles and Ray Eames - Eames Office directly under Ray Eames and Sam Passalacqua in Venice, California and was a student of legendary Italian designer Lorenzo "Renzo" Mongiardino and the distinguished American art dealer, scholar and collector Robert Hatfield Ellsworth.
