Libro secondo di Niccoletto Giganti ("Second Book of Niccoletto Giganti") is an Italian fencing manual written by Nicoletto Giganti and printed in 1608. It treats the use of the rapier, the dagger, and various mixed weapon combinations.
Publication History
Libro secondo was first printed in Pisa in 1608 by Giovanni Fontanini. The print run seems to have been small, as surviving copies quickly became so rare that as early as the 1600s bibliographers expressed doubt that it ever existed.
In 2013, it was translated into English by Piermarco Terminiello and published by Fox Spirit Books under the title The 'Lost' Second Book of Nicoletto Giganti (1608).
