I started my journey with the SCA in 1984 and broadened into living history via the Landsknecht group at the Southern California Renaissance Faire. This is where I first saw some crude facsimiles of dussak fighting and was enthralled.
As the internet became more widespread I studied with SCA and LH friends as best as I could then I heard about Hugh Knight and Die Schlachtschule where I studied for a year, then due to time conflicts had to leave, then I was contacted by Chris Vivo and Shay Roberts about helping start "The Academy of Arms" in LA which I did until double shoulder injuries. Since then I have moved out of the area and my shoulders have improved and so I started a club here in Palmdale CA. Antelope Valley Kunst Des Fechtens which can be found at AVKDF.com Regards, Lee Craven
