Do you have permission to re-use this image? Just because scans appear on Wiktenauer does not mean that they are free to use. Wiktenauer is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and many of the scans we host are only licensed for nonprofit use. In other cases, the scans have no standard license and Wiktenauer has received special permission to host them (and can't grant that permission to anyone else). The license terms appear in the Copyright and License Terms box at the bottom of the page that sent you here. When in doubt, always check with the museum or library that owns a manuscript before publishing or otherwise reusing its scans. |

I began with HEMA in 1999 at the “Liechtenauer Fechter” aka “Dreynschlag” (www.dreynschlag.at) where I still am a member of. Since 2001 I'm the main trainer and the main initiator in reconstruction of techniques of the so called “German school” of the 15 century. 2002 I started with his first transliteration of the Bauman Fechtbuch and soon after that the manuscripts of Sigmund Ringeck and Peter von Danzig did follow. In the same year I was also invited to teach in France (Dijon DTedT) and Germany (Ochs). I also initiated the so called “DREYNEVENT” (www.dreynevent.org) which has become one of Europe’s or maybe the world’s biggest annual HEMA events. In 2004 I founded together with three other clubs the Austrian federation for historical fencing of which I am the president of. For the last 15 years I followed my passion and trained and taught mainly German longsword, German dagger and Lignitzer’s sword & buckler. My favourite weapon is the dagger andI am willing to improve mys abilities and knowledge of this weapon every day. In 2013 I was one of the initiators of the foundation of the IFHEMA – the International Federation for Historical European Marts Arts.
