Item. The hereafter written new Zettel was created and set down by master Martin Siber and is pulled from many master techniques and is separated and set down in six courses
And in the Zettel the ox and the plow and the part cut are not like in the first Zettel of the book. Rather, it is another interpretation.
Now here begins the forward and lessons of the Zettel, thereafter the six courses.
Whoever wishes to acquire honor
Before princes and before lords
In the fencing with the sword
That is good and proper
They follow my lessons
They triumph continually
Hold these six courses in guard
They are quite praiseworthily good
In them is well understood
Many good masters' wisdom
From Hungary, Bohemia, Italy,
From France, England, and Alamannia,
From Russia, Prussia, Greece,
Holland, Provence, and Swabia.
In them, you shall step left
Remember misdirection alongside it
Penetrate strongly in thrusting
So you can accomplish it well.
If you see the window standing open
Enter it from there
Strike or thrust quickly
So you can settle down hard.
In the work, step about.
Fashion the previous passage together
If you now wish to undertake this,
You must have a strong spirit
Proper understanding is also good
Protect yourself from great wrath
To such, deliver parries to them.
Through that, you may well succeed.
In all of your fencing, be swift.
This forward has ended.
The first course.
Flick the weak to the right
Wind through in the fencing
With that, make the Flicker
To both sides twice
Strongly turn away the opponent's schilt
Ram with the bow, strike adroitly
In all work, step around
Clash the right bow as well[1]
The second course.
Crook into the strong
Remember, wind through as well[2]
Wind, overrun
Ready the point and pommel
Stab the opponent in the face
Fence with the work of the cross as well.[3]
You should remember the work of the pommel brought to bear.
If you would like to harm the opponent upon the head
In all work, step around
Make the ehegefährt[4] as well[5]
The third course.
Cock an eye at whatever comes from-the-roof
Cross through, do not go crooked
Therein examine their situation.
Make the half-cocked eye as well[6]
Abscond quite swiftly
Threaten the cut, finish it again.
Strongly drive out the the opponent's shield
Overwhelm them by overrunning
Their blade on the strong.
In all work, step laterally
Make the ehegefährt[7] as well[8]
The fourth course
Thrust the ox through
With two great steps
Wind and counter wind
Make the part cut adroitly
Wind. Strike the hitter immediately
In the belly and upon the neck
In all work, step around
Make the ehegefährt[9] as well[10]
The fifth course.
Thrust the long point through
Suddenly withdraw the thrust back, then kill
If you let the blind cut to bounce
Then you can go careening well
Hang against, immediately.
If you step behind, rebound
Upon the head, into the belly
Then you make a right fool out of them
In all work, step laterally
Make the ehegefährt[11] as well[12]
The sixth course.
Pass through from the roof extended
Protect yourself by turning aside
Cross through the opponent immediately
Rebound the blind cut
Hew the point into their breast
After all of your punishment.
In all work, step laterally
Make the ehegefährt[13] as well[14]
Here the new Zettel has an end
Martin Sibers Zettel with six courses, exactly as he put them together from many masters technique. Whoever can understand it well is to be fully praised as a good master of the long sword before other masters.
