Traite des armes ("Treatise on Weapons", MS E.1939.65.360) is a Spanish fencing manual created by Pedro de Heredia in the early 1600s.[citation needed] The original currently rests in the R. L. Scott Collection of the Glasgow Museums in Glasgow, Scotland. Heredia's work is written in French and seems to describe a style combining elements of the Iberian esgrima antigua and the Bolognese fencing of Girolamo Cavalcabo.[citation needed] This is one of three manuscripts of Heredia's work, the other two being the MS E.1939.65.359 and the X.911.
