Dr. Jürg Gassmann took his Matura in the Classics at KS Trogen and his licenciate in Law from the University of Zürich, specialising in Roman Law and Constitutional Law. He received his doctorate from the University of Zurich for his thesis "Geheimnisschutz, Informationsfreiheit und Medien im Japanischen Recht" following a research fellowship at the University of Tokyo. He is currently a practicing attorney, qualified in Switzerland and England, with a speciality in project finance, and writes occasional articles on selected topics.
