William has had a very varied and wild life. He has lived in many areas including Western New York, England and the Navajo reservation. As an applied anthropologist his interests lie in creating alternate worlds and studying culture. His early career included teaching western martial arts including historical sword combat, Victorian combat forms and classical fencing. He is a well known translator and supplier of Italian fencing texts. His work includes translations of the fencing masters Marozzo, dall'Agocchie, Capoferro, Lelli/Pallavicini. He has two combat books out in print; Arte of Defence and 16th Century Single Sword Combat. More books on sword and other combat are forthcoming.
