I studied History and Philosophy in College and was introduced to the sport of fencing by one of my roommates. Ten Years later I find myself coaching fencing. While my focus is the Olympic sport, especially Sabre, I enjoy investigating the origins of swordplay and frequently use examples from my own reading of historical fencing manuals to instruct my own students.
