I am a retired academic who has been engaged in historical fencing for the past 15 years in Australia and occasionally in New Zealand. I teach primarily 16th century Italian rapier fencing and I.33 fencing, but have been known to enjoy other forms and other periods. I am the author of the book "I.33: Fencing in the Style of the Walpurgis Manuscript" which is a manual introducing the I.33 manual with detailed explanations and practical drills, available through most online booksellers. I am a Guildmaster with the Lochac Royal Guild of Defence, an historical fencing group with members in most major cities in Australia and New Zealand, dedicated to teaching and studying European Historical Fencing to our members and the general public.
