Christopher VanSlambrouck is a senior instructor, researcher and administrator with the Meyer Freifechter Guild, a Historical European Martial Arts Non-Profit. He is a US Army combat veteran with 19 years of service trained in modern Army combatives, is a Special Reaction Team (SRT) member, and has instructed soldiers on physical fitness and battlefield tactics. As a HEMA scholar, he specializes in the instruction of the techniques of Master Joachim Meyer since 2009, particularly in the use of the XVI c. German longsword.
