This template is deprecated; see the talk page. Due to its history, at least half of its uses are wrong, and should be replaced by Template:spaced ndash. In order to find and fix all the uses, the ones that aren't wrong should be replaced by the html code or the literal character.

This is an en dash or ndash (–). It has the same function as the code "–" or the symbol –.
