The Codex I.6.4º.5 is a German fencing manual created by Jörg Wilhalm Hutter in 1522.[1] The original currently rests in the holdings of the Universitätsbibliothek Augsburg in Augsburg, Germany. Hutter's treatise seems to be another redaction of the teachings of Johannes Liechtenauer, but unlike the glosses of the previous century, Hutter's work is fully illustrated. Due to the fact that this manuscript is the only version of Hutter's treatise without significant text, Hils classified it as Hutter's draftbook.[citation needed] The Codex I.6.2º.3 seems to be the finished version of this manuscript and includes detailed captions. This manuscript was acquired by Paulus Hector Mair in 1552.
