Jean Daniel L'Ange was a 17th century French fencing master. He seems to have been an initiate of the tradition of Salvator Fabris (possibly through served as master to both the Electoral Palatinate court at Castle Heidelberg and the University of Heidelberg.[1]

In 1664, L'Ange published a fencing manual entitled Deutliche und grůndliche Erklårung der Adelichen und Ritterlichen freyen Fecht-Kunst ("A Clear and Thorough Explanation of the Noble, Chivalric, and Free Art of Fencing"), a relatively brief illustrated treatise on the use of the single rapier.
