Christopher VanSlambrouck is a senior instructor, researcher and administrator with the Meyer Freifechter Guild, a Historical European Martial Arts Non-Profit. He is a US Army combat veteran with 19 years of service trained in modern Army combatives and as a Special Reaction Team (SRT) member. Christopher has served as a section sergeant and a platoon sergeant and has instructed soldiers on physical fitness and battlefield tactics. As a HEMA scholar, he specializes in the instruction of the techniques of Master Joachim Meyer, particularly in the use of the XVI c. German longsword.
