Cory Winslow has been seriously researching and training in Historical European Martial Arts since 2003. In 2006 he founded the first MEMAG training club in Salisbury Maryland with his assistant instructor Joshua Reptsik. He has taught at the Halbinsel Fechtschule of MEMAG continuously since its founding, and currently instructs regular classes there. He has also taught a co-curricular historical swordsmanship program that he devised at the Salisbury School, and has given one or more demonstrations and lessons at Salisbury University, The Salisbury Festival, the Salisbury School, Wor-Wic Community College, the Chesapeake Celtic Festival and the Maryland Irish Festival. In 2008 he co-taught a day long workshop on the Longsword in Hollywood Maryland, another on the Messer in 2009, and another on the Staff in 2010. He also taught a class on the Messer at Bonfire of the Fencer in New York in 2009, assisted in demonstrating Sword and Buckler and Staff Techniques at the 2009 Meetup with NYFHA and The Virginia Academy of Fencing, and taught a Longsword class at the HEMA Alliance Mid-Atlantic Gathering in 2010. Cory is in charge of the creation and revision of the Longsword, Messer and Dagger Syllabi and curricula used in all MEMAG schools. He has translated Hans Talhoffer's Fechtbuch of 1467 and also the gloss on the Long Sword from the Rome version of "Von Danzig" into English.
