I was born in France and grew up reading medieval sagas, Walter Scott and Alexandre Dumas. I have practiced Asian (Japanese, Chines, Korean and Filipino) martial arts most of my life and have developed an interest in hoplology. I find both the research and the attempt at reconstructing martial arts from old books and manuscript fascinating.
