Vincent Le Chevalier has been fascinated by swords since a very early age. During the last decades this interest has merged with his scientific formation, and he has delved deeply into the theoretical and statistical study of the dynamic properties of swords. This research has also been fed by the practice of various martial arts: historical fencing of the 16th and 17th century, canne de combat, kenjutsu, judo... He has worked with Peter Johnsson on this topic, for the catalogue of the exhibit 'The Sword – Form and Thought', and is the author of the blog 'Ensis Sub Caelo'.
