The MS A.4º.2 is a German fencing manual created by Joachim Meyer, probably around 1563 or 1568. The original currently rests in the holdings of Lunds Universitets Bibliotek in Lund, Sweden. This manuscript was created for his student Otto von Solms (1550-1612);[1] since the manuscript is undated internally, it's unclear whether it was created when Meyer taught Otto in 1563 or at a later date, such as Otto's visit to Strasbourg in 1568. It contains lessons in the use of the sword, the dussack, and the rapier, and it is substantially the same as the longer manuscript Meyer produced in 1561 (MS Bibl. 2465) for Georg Johann von Veldenz.
