Vollständiges Ring-Buch ("Complete Wrestling Manual") is a German wrestling manual by Johann Georg Pascha, first printed in 1659. Pascha's teachings on grappling are quite distinct from all previous wrestling manuals, and place a much greater emphasis on striking. The 1659 edition was a brief work (though it was itself an expansion of the wrestling teachings from his treatise of 1657), and only contained three sections. The subsequent editions of the text were much longer, adding five additional sections and a large number of new illustrations to accompany them.
Publication History
Vollständiges Ring-Buch was first printed in Leipzig, Germany in 1663 by Philip Fuhrmanns. It was reprinted in 1664 and 1665 by Melchior Oelschlegeln in Halle, Germany.
