  2. ↑ "Bellica" seems to be a term for military equipment, and "tractans" comes from tracto, which is similar to traho (pull, draw) but has additional meanings like discuss, handle, negotiate. We have interpreted "bellica tractans" as "a person who deals with war equipment", implicitly distinct from a soldier or military person.
