You should probably use a character like "ȝ" (opposituȝ) to properly capture the ambiguity. After all, it may be that the writer intentionally used a Z there. ~ Michael Chidester (Contact) 16:14, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
Well, actually that is a vertical "m". There is no way it could be a z, since the Latin text would not make any sense otherwise, just as much as if the long initial and middle s, the ʃ, was to be written f. :)
