The title of this article contains the characters ö and º. Where they are unavailable or not desired, the name may be represented as Jörg Wilhalm Hutters kunst zu Augspurg (Cod.I.6.2o.3).
The Codex I.6.2º.3 is a German fencing manual created by Jörg Wilhalm Hutter in 1522.[1] The original currently rests in the holdings of the Universitätsbibliothek Augsburg in Augsburg, Germany. The manuscript seems to be another redaction of the teachings of Johannes Liechtenauer, but unlike the glosses of the previous century, Hutter's work is fully illustrated. The Codex I.6.2º.3 seems to be a copy of the earlier, text-less Codex I.6.4º.5, which Hils described as Hutter's sketchbook.[citation needed] This manuscript was acquired by Paulus Hector Mair in 1561.
