Dustin is a student of philosophy, mathematics, and science at Portland State University. He is also a member of Swordguild Portland and has been studying historical European martial arts since 2013. He has been published in the journal Radical Pedagogy with a paper titled, "Critical Thinking, Pedagogy, and Jiu Jitsu: Wedding Physical Resistance to Critical Thinking."
