Lois started her sword study with iaido before switching to HEMA about four years ago. Currently attending Vanguard Swordsmanship Academy and the Brisbane School of Iberian Swordsmanship, she now turns her skills and experience with the Spanish language to reading and translating Spanish and Portuguese primary fencing texts (both destreza verdadera and destreza común), with varying degrees of success.
