The HDW FAB 1677 is a German translation of the Italian fencing manual of Salvator Fabris created by Heinrich von und zum Velde some time before 1677.[citation needed] The original currently rests in the Howard de Walden Library at the Wallace Collection in London, United Kingdom. This translation appears to be the one that was published in 16777 by his student Johann Joachim Hynitzsch, who praises Velde in his introduction but doesn't attribute the translation to him.
