Kendra Brown has been translating Latin in combat treatises since 2003. Her HEMA studies have mostly focused on Joachim Meyer and Paulus Hector Mair. Her translation of Florius de Arte Luctandi, in collaboration with Rebecca Garber, is her first foray into the Italian traditions. She sometimes bursts into laughter and only explains by saying "Twist my lizard." (And apparently she does not always remember to remove that from translation documents.)
