As many of you are aware, I curate a sizeable digital collection of manuscripts, incunables, and fencing books, including many that are not commonly available or easily obtained. I am offering a bounty of any item from my collection in exchange for scans of any the following manuals. (And I will, of course, honor any and all conditions that you wish to impose against posting the scans online or even sharing them with my associates privately.)
Black & white or color
- Cl. 23842, the Cluny Fechtbuch
- Ms. Var.83, Hugold Behr's Fechtbuch
- Ms. Var.7, a German manuscript based on Salvator Fabris
- Mss. X.911, E.1939.65.359, and E.1939.65.360, the three copies of the Franco-Flemish fencing of Pedro de Heredia
- 2º Cod.Ms.Philos.61, a 17th century copy of Hans Talhoffer
Color scans only (high-res preferred)
- Ms. 78.A.8, another Talhoffer
- Ms. 26-232, the Albrecht Dürer Fechtbuch
- VAULT Case Ms. Fol.U.423.792, a brief but fascinating Dutch treatise from 1595
- Ms. Italien 959, Giovanni Antonio Lovino's treatise
