The CGM 558 contains a German fencing manual probably created in 1462.[1] The original currently rests in the holdings of the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek in Munich, Germany. While the bulk of the manuscript is comprised of various writings by one Otmar Gossow, it also includes three treatises by the Swiss master Hugues Wittenwiller.
