The Codex Nr.55 Ambras is a German fencing manual commissioned by Hans Talhoffer, probably between 1446 and 1459.[1] The original currently rests in the holdings of the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, Austria. This is believed to be a rough draft of the MS XIX.17-3.
