Giovan Antonio Lovino was a 16th century Italian fencing master. Little is known about this master's life, but he states in his treatise that he had studied fencing for 22 years at the time.

In ca. 1580, Lovino completed a treatise on fencing with the rapier (single, double, and with buckler, shield, and cloak), two-handed sword, and polearms, which he dedicated to Henri III, King of France. This work, though clearly expensive and wide-ranging, was essentially intended to earn Henri's sponsorship for an even more extensive treatise on the fencing styles of the world (which seems to have never been written).
