The Codex Guelf 125.16 Extrav was copied in the late 17th century[citation needed] from the 2° Codex MS Philos. 61, a German fencing manual based on treatises by Hans Talhoffer. The original currently rests in the holdings of Herzog-August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel, Germany. Aside from the writings of Talhoffer, the work is also significant due to its reference to the MS I.33, to which the scribe also had access.[1]
